Prologue

We had an unexpected visitor over the summer school holiday. My twelve year old niece, Milly, begged and pleaded with her dad, my brother Fred, and her mum, who then pleaded with me to let her spend a fortnight with us. Eventually, I felt so guilty I relented. She had always had a crush on me, her favourite uncle, she always said, and she really loved my daughter. You couldn’t pry those two apart with a stick when we gathered for family events. We hadn’t seen her since Christmas, which was like a century for her. Time moves much slower when you’re young.

The extra time I had planned to spend with my nine year old daughter, Carla, would be divided, plus there would be the extra responsibility of taking care of another child, so I balked. However, my daughter joined the cause and everyone dug their heals in and wouldn’t budge. They worked hard to convince me that I should come to my senses, which I eventually did. At the time I had no idea where the visit would lead.

My sister dropped her by very late in the evening and we didn’t get to spend much time together that first night, but the first thing I noticed was how much she had developed in the last six months. The puppy fat had dissolved only to be replaced by enticing curves and bumps in all of the right places. Let’s say, she had become a right fit twelve year old and I didn’t realize at the time, just how fit she was. She now had a couple of, what appeared to be, tea cups under her top now that I wouldn’t mind having a gander at. What could I say, I was fond of her new bumps. Since she had always been a bit careless with her modesty, I hoped get a look at them, and as it turned out, much sooner than I had expected.

She unpacked her things in Carla’s room and the girls dressed for the night. I had parked myself in front of the telly to watch the news and finish my beer when the two of them found me on the sofa and demanded their goodnight kiss. For some reason I expected them to be dressed in the usual night dress or pyjamas, but that was not the case. My eyeballs nearly popped out when they came in unashamedly wearing only their knickers.

At nine, my daughter was just beginning her journey into puberty, but at twelve, my niece was well along in hers. Carla only sported a pair of little puffy bumps on her chest but I groaned when I saw Milly’s nicely developed breasts. They appeared to be about the size teacups under her clothes, but in the flesh, they were a lot bigger, and I might add, very nice handful. You could say
